CMU Observatory Open Nights

2006-2007 Schedule

The Astronomical Observatory, located on the roof of Brooks Hall, will be open to the public
on the following nights during the 2006-2007 school year:

     September 28     ...........       . ..          January 25

     October 26          ..............          .      February 22

     November 30                                      March 22

April 26

Each open house will begin at 8:30 p.m. and will be held regardless of weather. The observatory can be reached by using the middle stairwell (near the elevator) to go to the fourth floor of Brooks Hall.  The best parking is in Lot 33 off of East Campus Drive.

School, scout, and other organized groups are welcome. Please contact the Physics Department at (989) 774-3321 if you wish to arrange a special session. Groups generally cannot be accommodated on other dates.

Come and join us for a look at the moon, visible planets, double stars, star clusters, nebulae and galaxies!
